7 or 8 years ago, I took an online paralegal course provided by a career school in America.
In the course, I got to know an occupation called Notary Public.
The main duty of Notary Public is to witness and authenticate signatures for documents and administer oaths.
It seemed that becoming a Notary Public is a kind of goal for many paralegals.
According to Certified Administrative Procedures Legal Specialist (Gyosei-Shoshi) Act, ‘certification of facts’ is one of Gyosei-Shoshi’s business. So, you may think you might be able to use the word ‘Notary Public’ to describe Gyosei-Shoshi.
It is not that simple.
In Japan, Notary is the word to describe Kosho-Nin.

The documents which Notaries made are called ‘Notary Instruments’ and some of these documents have power to enforce the contents.
To conduct my business, I want to use Notary System effectively as a powerful tool.
